An international news anchor working for Al Jazeera in the Middle East and BBC News in the UK, Louisa Pilbeam has extensive experience in live anchoring and is an award-winning journalist. Broadcasting to a global audience of 430 million people in more than 150 countries, Louisa joined Al Jazeera at a time when its coverage of the Israel-Gaza war was the most comprehensive in the world. Louisa presents live breaking news and analysis, interviewing experts, politicians, medics, and humanitarian organisations. Louisa broke news of Israel-Iran attacks in June 2025 and US President Donald Trump’s explosive meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House amid the Russia-Ukraine war.
Louisa’s work as a presenter and news correspondent for BBC News and Sky News has seen her report live from the scene of London terror attacks, and she covered the COVID pandemic.
Louisa has appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC News at Ten, BBC News at Six, Radio 4, 5 Live, and online. Louisa’s specialism is business journalism.
