More About
Mark Clemmit began his broadcasting career in 1998 with Red Balls on Fire, a fanzine-style programme about Middlesbrough FC that aired on BBC Cleveland. Despite a modest weekly budget of £50, the show earned a Sony Radio Award nomination within nine months, followed by another the next year.
His success caught the attention of BBC Radio 5 Live, where he became a regular voice, providing interviews and match reports before establishing himself on Five Live Sport. He has contributed to Match of the Day, Football Focus, and Final Score, just to name a few. While he has covered Premier League games, Mark’s passion lies in lower-league football, where he values the close-knit atmosphere and direct engagement with managers and players.
Mark is also an engaging keynote speaker and skilled conference facilitator. His topics include sports, football, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, mental health, safeguarding, social inclusion, sustainability, innovation, leadership, motivation, and team building.
