Alongside her broadcasting career, Ru A Kermani is a highly regarded event host, moderator and interviewer, known for her ability to engage high-level audiences and lead dynamic, insightful conversations.

In 2023, she was invited by the Norwegian Space Agency to moderate and host GLOC 2023—the world’s first global conference focused on the role of Space in addressing climate change.

Held in Oslo, the event brought together senior leaders and subject matter experts from around the world. Ru facilitated a high-profile panel discussion featuring:

• Espen Barth Eide, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs
• Joseph Aschbacher, Director General, European Space Agency
• Susie Perez Quinn, Senior Advisor, NASA
• Dr Richard W. Spinrad, U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere
• Terada Koji, Vice President, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency

The panel explored key challenges and opportunities at the intersection of climate, policy, and technology, including environmental monitoring, climate-driven commercial innovation, regulatory frameworks, and global collaboration on Space-based solutions.

In 2025, Ru served as host and master of ceremonies for the inaugural Eid al-Fitr Dinner in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. Held at the historic Guildhall in London, the event celebrated the cultural and economic ties between the UK and the Muslim business community. Distinguished guests included the Rt. Hon.. the Lord Mayor of the City of London, the Rt. Hon. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al-Thani, and senior representatives from embassies, sovereign wealth funds, and global financial institutions.
