A distinctive part of Angela’s approach is her background.  She reported on emerging technologies for the BBC long before they became mainstream – driving one of the world’s first autonomous vehicles (on BBC1), predicting online grocery shopping (on her Radio 4 show) 6 years before it happened and exploring “video-on-demand” decades before Netflix!  She’s judged the Turing AI Test, flown in an experimental ground-effect aircraft, worked on a lunar space mission and, as an intern at IBM, witnessed the world’s first computer virus obliterate worldwide networks.  All this gives her a rare combination of technical understanding…with the ability and warmth to explain it to anyone.
