Clare Richardson started in journalism in New York more than a decade ago, working as the world news editor for The Huffington Post. She later worked as the world section editor of Reuters.com and has taught journalism at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
As a news anchor for Germany’s international public broadcaster Deutsche Welle, Clare has presented breaking news coverage of stories including IS and German elections, the Middle East conflict, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Covid-19 pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and high-stakes conferences of world leaders.
She has also directed short documentary films from Australia, Brazil, the Philippines, and the Solomon Islands for outlets including BBC Reel, Business Insider, and Deutsche Welle.
