Fi Glover is one of the UK’s most recognisable radio voices. She is celebrated for her award-winning career as a radio presenter and author. In 2010, Radio Times ranked her the 9th Most Powerful Voice on Radio.

As a seasoned conference facilitator, awards host, and speaker, Fi has chaired major events for organisations such as Clifford Chance, hosted the Charity Commission Awards (2010), the Independent Publisher’s Awards (2010), and the United for All Ages Awards (2011), hosted the Stirling Prize for RIBA in 2011 in Rotherham, and facilitated a symposium for Merck at the COGI conference in Paris.

Fi Glover’s broadcasting journey began at GLR, where she joined as a junior reporter before becoming the presenter of the station’s Breakfast Show just three years later. She then moved to Five Live, where she hosted The Late Night Show and the award-winning Sunday Service.

Between 1997 and 1999, Fi broadened her horizons as the presenter of BBC Two’s The Travel Show, a role that saw her visit an impressive thirty-six countries in just three years.

In 2001, Fi Glover authored the memoir Travels With My Radio, drawing inspiration from her time as a BBC trainee reporter touring radio stations across the UK.

More recently, Fi has presented the landmark three-year BBC documentary series Generations Apart. Her previous hosting roles include Rough Justice Live on Channel 4 and The Technophobe’s Guide to the Future on BBC Two.

Fi has also appeared on popular programmes such as The Apprentice (BBC One), Call My Bluff (BBC Two), and Sport Relief Does The Great British Bake Off (BBC Two).

 

Women’s Rights Advocate

Fi serves on the board of Sound Women, an organisation dedicated to advancing women’s rights in the broadcasting industry. In 2009, she was Chair of Judges for the Orange Prize for Women’s Literature.  Her writing credits include columns for The Guardian and Women’s Weekly, and she currently pens a weekly opinion column for Waitrose Weekend.
