Ian King began his career in finance as a business analyst at Midland Bank (now HSBC), before moving into journalism at The Daily Telegraph. He later held senior roles at The Guardian, Mail on Sunday, The Sun (as Business Editor), and The Times (as Business and City Editor), earning numerous accolades, including Business Journalist of the Year at both the UK Press Awards and London Press Club Awards.

He has interviewed the majority of FTSE-100 CEOs, three Governors of the Bank of England, and prime ministers from across the globe.

After joining Sky News in 2014, Sky’s head of News, John Ryley, noted, “Ian’s credentials are impeccable. He is a powerhouse in business journalism, and I know he will make a real impact with our viewers.”
