After starting her career on BBC South Today, Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes became a familiar face on BBC One’s Newsround, presenting the children’s current affairs show from 2001 to 2008, including co-hosting its 30th anniversary special alongside original presenter John Craven. She also fronted Sportsround on BBC Two from 2005, alongside Jake Humphrey.

Transitioning into sports broadcasting, she was part of the BBC’s coverage team for major international events, including the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, and the 2006 Turin and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

She later presented The Football League Show, the BBC’s Saturday night highlights programme covering the lower tiers of English football.

Alongside her work with the BBC, Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes presented the NatWest Cricket programme for the bank’s online platforms, reported for Premier League TV, and fronted coverage of Wimbledon and The Open Golf for IMG in 2012 and 2014.

Lizzie has also lends her voice to voiceovers, appears at public events, and regularly hosts live events.

An enthusiastic amateur sportswoman, Lizzie once represented England’s mixed hockey team and still plays for her local club. She’s also a keen runner, often seen jogging with her rescue lurcher, Zededee, and has completed the London Marathon.

Lizzie is the founder of Harkaway Media, an Oxfordshire-based Television Production Company That Produces high-quality content for the broadcast and corporate markets.
