Maria Ramos’ career in journalism has taken her to a range of global broadcasters, including the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, Bahrain TV, and UNICEF. She has reported extensively from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

Born in the UK to Spanish parents, Maria is multilingual—fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, with a working knowledge of classical Arabic and Turkish.

A graduate of King’s College London, she actively supports emerging talent in the industry through mentorship programmes with both King’s and Women in Journalism UK.

After working around the world, Maria is now based back in London and is in high demand outside the studio as a Master of Ceremonies and Moderator, frequently chairing international conferences and governmental events. Her expertise encompasses humanitarian issues, environmental affairs, and global policy, with high-profile clients including the European Parliament and the United Nations, most recently for UN World Tourism Day in Riyadh.

A passionate advocate for sustainability, she has served as Media Advisor to the CEO of Formula E, the world’s leading electric racing championship. In this role, she played a pivotal role in cultivating media and institutional partnerships, notably with the United Nations and Greenpeace.

Maria also co-founded a UK–Spain media consultancy, advising European organisations on sustainability and infrastructure across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The initiative aims to amplify stories rooted in her cultural heritage. She is currently developing a new television programme spotlighting influential voices from the Hispanic world, set to launch soon.
