Romilly Weeks began her career as an actress before transitioning to broadcasting. She joined ITV in 2005 as a newscaster and royal correspondent. By 2012, she was promoted to political correspondent.

Throughout her career, she has reported live from around the world, including the UK, US, France, Australia, Ukraine, and Thailand. Notably, she was embedded with the British Army during the Gulf and Iraq Wars, reported live from Thailand after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, and was caught in sniper fire in Basra. Her interviewing skills have brought her face-to-face with figures like Prince Harry, Margaret Thatcher, and John Howard.

As a royal correspondent, Romilly has covered five royal tours, two weddings, two funerals, and the inquest into Princess Diana’s death. She has interviewed Prince Harry, been eavesdropped on by Prince Philip, and even traveled with Prince Charles’ helicopter in Pakistan. One of her standout moments was interrupting her maternity leave to report from the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Romilly has developed a strong working relationship with the royal family and is an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust.

Romilly is passionate about advocating for women to balance their careers and family lives. She acknowledges the challenges of returning to work after children but also views it as an opportunity to reevaluate her career path, ultimately deciding to focus on Westminster as a key area of interest.

In 2022, Romilly reported from Ukraine during the Russian conflict, even continuing a live broadcast while air raid sirens sounded in the background. In addition to her television work, she has contributed to well-known publications like The Daily Mirror, The Daily Express, Mail Online, and The Evening Standard.

Romilly is also a sought-after keynote speaker and moderator for corporate events, especially those with a political focus, reflecting her expertise and popularity in the industry.
