Romilly Weeks began her career as an actress before transitioning to broadcasting. She joined ITV in 2005 as a newscaster and royal correspondent. By 2012, she was promoted to political correspondent.

Throughout her career, she has reported live from around the world, including the UK, US, France, Australia, Ukraine, and Thailand. Notably, she was embedded with the British Army during the Gulf and Iraq Wars, reported live from Thailand after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, and was caught in sniper fire in Basra.
