Samuel Burke is a UK-based American technology journalist who has hosted CNN International’s “iReport” program. As a fluent Spanish speaker, he also spent nearly a decade anchoring “Cibercafé” on CNN en Español’s flagship morning show.
He is the founder and executive producer of Leumas Productions.
Currently, Samuel hosts major programs on CNN’s regional channels, including the show “#WFH – Work From Home.” He also leads the podcast series “It’s All Relative,” which delves into the impact of unexpected DNA results on families, including his own.

Samuel covers major international technology events and has interviewed top executives from the world’s largest companies, including Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Alibaba founder Jack Ma, Tinder founder Sean Rad, Ford CEO James Hackett, T-Mobile CEO John Legere, former Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, former Ford CEO Mark Fields, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, and TransferWise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus. Samuel began his career at CNN as an intern for Anderson Cooper before becoming Christiane Amanpour’s digital and field producer. Prior to joining CNN, he freelanced as a producer for Phoenix’s NPR affiliate KJZZ and ABC News’ “20/20.”
Samuel studied Spanish linguistics at La Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and graduated summa cum laude from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where he now serves on the Cronkite School National Board of Advisors.
