With a background as a broadcast anchor and journalist—and in her current role facilitating conversations among CEOs at World 50 Group—Sarah Backhouse’s expertise spans topics including geopolitics, sustainability, and technology.

With a career spanning executive leadership, entrepreneurship, and media, Sarah has always been driven by a passion for storytelling, communication, and impact. From shaping high-level peer communities to driving corporate strategy, her journey has been defined by curiosity and adaptability.

In 2011, she founded Future 360, a digital platform that educates audiences on the game-changing potential of clean technology and sustainable innovation. Since then, she has worked as the Director of Global Communications for the Heineken Company, where she launched the company’s strategy, EverGreen 2025, and refreshed its sustainability agenda, Brew a Better World 2030.

She has been an anchor for Al Gore’s ’24 Hours of Reality’ 24-hour event, discussing the reality of the climate crisis; anchor of over 250 short form news episodes for Discovery networks on climate change, coral bleaching, species extinction, and ocean plastics; and an anchor for G Living, a contemporary green lifestyle network that educates consumers on how to tread more lightly on the planet through sustainable stories.

She collaborates with event organisers to craft compelling narratives, guide discussion topics, refine scripts, and develop thought-provoking questions that spark conversation.
