More About

Stephanie Flanders began her economic career at the London Business School and the Institute for Fiscal Studies before transitioning into economic journalism with the Financial Times in 1994. After three years, she became advisor and speechwriter to US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, a role she held for four years. She then joined The New York Times as a reporter and served as Principal Editor for the United Nations’ 2002 Human Development Report.

In 2013, Stephanie shifted away from television and joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management as Chief Market Strategist. Four years later, she moved to Bloomberg as Senior Executive Editor for Economics and Head of Bloomberg Economics.

Stephanie’s distinguished career and ability to simplify complex topics have earned her numerous accolades. In 2010, she won the Harold Wincott Foundation’s Award for her work on Stephanomics. The Foundation named her Broadcaster of the Year in 2011, and she also received the Political Studies Association’s Broadcaster of the Year award in 2012.
