More About

Chris Moon’s life story is a remarkable testament to resilience, determination and human potential. After surviving captivity by the Khmer Rouge and losing an arm and a leg in a landmine explosion, he defied expectations by learning to run again and completing the London Marathon less than a year after leaving the hospital. He has since gone on to complete numerous endurance events, including ultra-marathons and the Marathon des Sables.
Combining firsthand experience of extreme adversity with academic study in human behaviour and years of keynote speaking and workshop delivery, Chris offers a powerful blend of insight, perspective and humour. His story not only inspires but provides practical lessons in performance, mindset and overcoming challenges.
Drawing on a background that spans elite endurance challenges, leadership, and advisory work with organisations including the NHS, Chris is skilled at navigating complex or high-stakes topics with confidence and credibility. He balances structure with flexibility, ensuring every voice is heard while maintaining momentum and direction throughout. The result is a seamless, insightful and impactful discussion that resonates long after the event.
