Johanna Botta graduated from the University of California, Riverside, where she received a BA in Sociology. Soon after finishing her degree, Johanna decided to embark on a television career, deferring her Master’s place at Columbia University’s School of Social Work. She has since travelled the world for various TV Shows and now resides in London, where she works as one of ITN’s newest presenters.

Her love for lifestyle and entertainment has led her to co-host Fuse’s popular music show, Trending Ten, and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live. She has also found time to front several MTV specials and cover the red carpet for major Hollywood film releases.

Starting in 2012, Johanna’s passion for human storytelling led her to produce and present a weekly half-hour current affairs programme called Refreshing Faith, a mixture of in-studio interviews and long-form feature stories that explored difficult topics, such as sex trafficking and the treatment of depression by religious groups.

More recently, she’s been a presenter for Channel One News’ On the Job series in New York, a daily news programme for students and teachers.

She has also worked as the home and travel correspondent for About.com, contributed human interest stories as a correspondent for NY Live on NBC, and been a writer, presenter, and producer of short-form video content in English and Spanish for AOL, MSN, and The Huffington Post.

She has worked on corporate projects for NBC, AOL, MSN, Skype, About.com, MTV, TV Land, and Jaguar.
